DRUNKEN CHESTNUTS

24 roasted chestnuts, peeled
2 tbsp (30 ml) sugar
1 cup (250 ml) rum

To start your Drunken Chestnuts:

In a large mixing bowl add roasted chestnuts, sugar and rum.

Light the content with a match to flambe the ingredients.

Stir continuously to dissolve the sugar. Continue to stir until the rum has reduced to a thick syrup (or caramelized) and the flame has died off.
