MAINS

In Italian cuisine, secondi is the main portion of the meal usually consisting of meat and fish. It is often served up without any heavy dressings or cream sauces.

In restaurants, the secondo is usually served on its own, without any sides, perhaps just simply grilled with a little bit of olive oil drizzled over as a finishing touch, and maybe even a wedge of lemon on the side.
