OREGANO (ORIGANO)

Oregano is from the mint family, but closer in taste to marjoram. It's a staple in most Italian homes because it's versatile and works in many Italian recipes. Fresh oregano should be bright green. Refrigerated in a plastic bag, it will last for about three days. You can buy dried bunches of oregano, which sho(uld be stored in a cool dry place. Toss them after six months.
