MASCARPONE (MASCARPONE)

Often referred to as the Italian cream cheese, mascarpone is an ivory coloured, rich, sweet double and triple fat cow's cheese that spreads beautifully. It is used as a topping for fresh fruit or as a star player in desserts, most famously tiramisu . As with all cheeses, buy it fresh, and in this case, use it within a few days.
