I just finished reading "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan.
It's an interesting read for anyone, but especially if you're a foodie. This isn't a recipe book.
It's about the where our food comes from nowadays and it's a real eye opener.
This is all part of the industrial way our food is processed. Sometimes processing
and inexpensive ingredients aren't a bargain because we end up paying more in the end in terms of health and
environmental issues, something I think its important to be conscious of. It may make you reconsider how you
choose to eat and where you choose to shop.
A presto! |
