My Roman holiday...

Well actually it was not a holiday but rather the official start of pre-production for DRDV #4. The weather was amazing, the food was great and of course the beauty of Rome was so inspiring. We got to check out some new locations for the upcoming season and hang out as i Romani do....

Aside from script writing and pre-production work, our days consisted of a lot of location scouting. We spent most of our time in the Campo dei Fiori and Trastevere areas, where most of season #4 will be shot. The big difference between i Romani and i Firoentini is how late people would be out and about; restaurants in Rome would be packed at midnight with people still ordering food.

Our work day usually ended with drinks at one of the bars in Campo dei Fiori, followed by a dinner. We would be lucky to be seated before 10pm for dinner. It always seemed our last stop would involve sipping limoncello at our favourite patio in Trastevere, Bar San Calisto... which incidentally, makes incredible gelato as well. But seriously it was not a holiday... we worked really really hard!

A presto!
